🌞 May’s in bloom and summer’s on deck—Swift’s turning up the heat and getting ready to shine! 🌈✨

May Product Updates

No time to spare, let’s look at what shipped in April:

  1. New service category: Camps (formerly full-style classes)
  2. Variable capacities & instructors for classes
  3. Invoice payment links and reminder emails
  4. + dozens of bug fixes

P.S.: If you missed last month's updates, be sure to check them out. We covered features such as service schedules, invoice drafts, design refreshes, and numerous other bug fixes and improvements to help you manage your sports facility on autopilot.

Hold on, we’re about to take a trip 🎢

⛺ Camps service category

From the beginning of Swift, we have seen facilities utilize the “Classes” service category in creative ways - from clinics and programs to training and camps. Two primary use cases have emerged.

1: The “Full” class type—where athletes register and pay upfront.

2: The “Drop-in” class type—where athletes pay per session with flexible schedules and instructors.

To better serve these two models, we’ve introduced a new "Camps" category. All former “Full” class-type services have been transitioned to this category, with booking links automatically redirected.

For now, “Camps” function just like the old Full class type—but this new category gives us a stable foundation for exciting improvements ahead.

Pro Tip: Don’t love the name "Camps"? You can change it! Just click the gear icon on the “Camps” page to customize the name and description for your clients.

👥 Variable capacities & instructors for classes

To show how powerful the separation of “Camps” and “Classes” can be, we’ve rolled out a long-requested feature to classes: variable capacities and instructors.

Before, when full and drop-in classes overlapped, building this was complicated. Now with a clear separation and structure, it’s simple!

Here’s how it works:

When adding session times on “Classes”, you can now set unique participant caps and assign different instructors per session. This means you’re no longer locked into the same cap and instructors for the entire service.

Participant caps and instructors can be changed on individual events through the calendar as well. Additionally, the booking event now displays a small indicator of the number of sports filled/remaining.

This is just the beginning! Expect even more flexibility and features for classes soon. Got ideas? Let us know, nothing’s off-limits now 😎

🧾 Invoice payment links and reminder emails

Last month, we released invoice drafts. Now we’re wrapping up much-needed improvements to invoices by introducing payment links and reminder emails.

Payment links

Previously, payments were only possible through your Admin dashboard, requiring clients to have a card on file or forcing you to collect cash, cheque, etc.

Now, with payment links, you can:

  • Share a secure URL with your clients (or their organization, treasurer, accountant, etc)
  • Accept payments directly - no login required
  • Support partial payments

How it works:

Click the “Actions” button next to an open invoice and copy the payment link.

By opening the link, clients will be directed to add a card and submit payment. Additionally, they can view the payment history at a glance.

Reminder emails

Reminder emails is a new way to gently nudge your clients for payment. Previously, the only notification possible was upon sending the invoice. Now, at any point, you can send a reminder email with a custom message. This will send an email blast with your message, an invoice breakdown, and most importantly, the payment link!

🛣️ The road ahead

At Swift, we’re committed to helping you grow your facility and making your experience as an owner, staff member, coach, or customer more seamless and powerful.

Here’s a look at what’s ahead:

  1. Improvements to product sales offering
  2. Equipment add-ons & upsells
  3. A notification center to help you decide how you want to get notified
  4. Wallets & storing balances on file
  5. Self-serve “check-in” for events
  6. + a ton more
