Product Updates
March 1, 2026

We’re still snowed in up here in Toronto, but the Swift team has been heating up leading into the spring! This month, we released much-needed quality of life improvements and expanded our point-of-sale capabilities.

PS: If you missed out on our January Updates, check them out! We shipped a bunch of self-serve support improvements and shared some highlights from our time at the ABCA convention.

February Product Updates

A major theme this month for our team was drastically improving internal processes and shipping highly sought-after improvements as we continue to build out major features coming next month 👀

Here are a few of the biggest wins from February:

  1. Email blast drafts
  2. Point of Sale (POS) Improvements
    1. Server-driven integration
    2. Multiple POS device configurations
  3. Pay rates for service types
  4. Optionally pass on custom fees in admin checkout
  5. + dozens of quality of life improvements and bug fixes

📧 Email Blast Drafts

Email blasts are one of the best ways to stay connected with your customers — but we’ve heard the frustration loud and clear. You spend time carefully crafting the perfect message, only to lose your progress when the browser refreshes or you step away and come back later.

That’s why email drafts now save automatically. Your work is saved as you go, so you can pick up right where you left off and keep building polished, high-impact marketing emails without missing a beat.

💳 Point of Sale (POS) Improvements

If your facility relies on in-person payments, you might have experienced frustrations with your POS device randomly disconnecting, failing to connect at checkout, or needing to be reconfigured in Swift altogether.

That stops now.

We’ll spare you the technical jargon, but we’ve upgraded our integration with Stripe to be server-driven, meaning your POS device is securely locked to your account. This improvement will dramatically reduce connectivity issues and keep transactions smooth and reliable.

We’ve also introduced support for multiple POS devices on a single account. That means you can take payments from different areas of your facility at the same time, like selling merch in your retail shop while processing bookings at the front desk.

💰 Pay Rates for Service Types

Previously, instructor pay rates were tied to individual services. So every time you created a new lesson, class, or camp, you had to manually update each instructor's pay, which is easy to miss and time-consuming to manage.

Now, you can assign pay rates at the service category level (like “Lessons”) and have them apply automatically.

Need exceptions? No problem. Individual service-level rates still override the category rate. For example, John Doe may earn 50% commission on lessons by default, but 80% for his “Advanced Pitching Lesson.”

We hope this small improvement means less admin work and even more control over how you pay your staff.

💲Optionally Pass on Fees in Admin Checkout

Custom fees make it easy to pass costs along to your customers, but sometimes you’d rather not!

Now, when making bookings through the admin calendar, you can simply toggle off any custom fees applied to the service at checkout.

Perfect for cash payments at the front desk or those one-off moments when you’d prefer to absorb the fee and take care of the customer.
