Tricks, treats, and Swift updates that are wickedly good this October

October has been another big month, bringing you features to improve your quality of life, ease of use, and generate additional revenue at your facility.

P.S. If you missed September's update, check it out! We've released significant improvements to the booking page, including the ability to reorder service categories and view service images.

🔧 Equipment Management

After showing you a preview last month, we’re excited to announce that “Equipment Management” will be available to all facilities starting Tuesday, November 4th.

Similar to “Rooms,” this new feature allows you to create bookable resources for specialized equipment and technology — such as pitching machines, radar guns, and ball-flight trackers.

How it works:

Head to “Settings” and click into “Equipment” to add your gear. You can group multiple units under one category (for example, several pitching machines of the same model).

You can restrict specific items to certain rooms for better control over where they’re available. For example, this is helpful if only a few cages have power outlets for equipment that requires electricity.

To make equipment bookable, open a “Rental” service and enable ‘Reserve Equipment.’  Select the equipment you’d like from the dropdown and click Save. From then on, customers can book the service, its assigned room, and the chosen equipment—all in one step.

Want to see when your gear’s in use? Head to the “Calendar”, click the “Equipment” tab, and view all activity and make changes just like you would with regular bookings.

We’re thrilled for Equipment Management to give you a cleaner, smarter way to manage your facility’s gear — and we’re just getting started. Keep an eye out for upcoming “Add-Ons”, which will let you upsell equipment at checkout and much more!

⚙️ Redesigned Settings Navigation

Swift has grown a lot — and so have your settings 😅

To make things easier to find, we’ve redesigned the “Settings” experience from the ground up.

Now, when you click the “Settings” tab, the main navigation is replaced with dedicated sections like “Facility”, “Payments”, and more. Each section includes grouped options so you can quickly jump to the exact setting you need — no more endless scrolling through one long page.

This update brings a cleaner layout, more logical organization, and a smoother experience for managing your facility.

🔔 SMS Notifications for Staff Members

Just in time for the off-season, we’ve rolled out a small but mighty update — staff members will now receive SMS notifications when they’re added to a lesson or rental.

Previously, these alerts were sent only by email. Now, Swift automatically notifies staff through both SMS and email, ensuring no one misses a beat.

No setup required — it’s on by default.

Keep an eye out for more updates as we build out a smarter notification center, where you’ll be able to customize how and when you’re notified across Swift.

🖼️ Additional Facility Banner Images

Thought we were done updating the booking page? Think again 🤭

Previously, you could upload only one banner image at the top of your booking page — but your facility deserves more spotlight.

You can now upload up to 10 banner images to highlight your facility’s training space, equipment, and coaches. When multiple images are added, your banner automatically becomes a photo gallery — and on mobile, a smooth swipeable experience.

We’ve also added some quality-of-life upgrades, including the ability to reorder and drag photos and crop images directly during upload.
